Toronto police have arrested the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run.
A 63-year-old man was attempting to cross Danforth Avenue, at Gillard Avenue, just before midnight on Wednesday when he was struck by a vehicle heading westbound.
He was rushed to hospital where he later died.
The driver did not remain at the scene.
Police said they were looking for a model year 2000 brownish-grey Toyota Corolla with damage to the front end.
The vehicle was located on Thursday morning and a woman in her 20s was arrested, Const. Clint Stibbe told 680 NEWS.
Police are expected to provide an update later in the day on what charges will be laid.
Investigators are asking for witnesses to come forward.
