Beaconsfield High School locked down for one hour

Beaconsfield High School was in lock down for a brief period midday Wednesday following a fight between two girls off school property that sent one to hospital with knife wounds.

The West Island high school on Beaurepaire Drive was in what is called “soft lockdown” for about one hour as a precaution, reopening early afternoon.

The fight broke out on the opposite side of Highway 20 from the school.

An SPVM media officer told the Montreal Gazette that a 15-year-old girl was in custody Wednesday afternoon and was speaking with investigators.
