Dr. Charles Kowalski, who penned a letter to run as a full-page ad in last Thursday’s Montreal Gazette thanking P.K. Subban, is making a sizable donation to P.K.’s Helping Hand.
Kowalski, a 52-year-old ER physician who lives in Ottawa, plans to donate $250,000 to the charitable organization set up by the former Canadiens defenceman.
As well, Kowalski has donated his season tickets for use by sick patients and their families.
Kowalski plans to make the announcement at the Children’s Hospital’s P.K. Subban Atrium Wednesday afternoon.
In the letter last week, Kowalski voiced his displeasure with the Canadiens over the trade that sent Subban to the Nashville Predators for Shea Weber.
