Luke Everett Dennington admitted he was driving the car that allegedly struck and seriously injured a pedestrian on a downtown street three years ago. But he told court Tuesday during his criminal trial that he didn’t see anyone behind his vehicle when he backed out of a parking stall on 5 Street South, and he never intentionally tried to hit anyone.
Dennington can’t deny it happened, however, because he said he doesn’t remember much surrounding those few critical moments when he and two friends were fleeing from an angry mob.
