Police search for suspect in armed robbery at 7Eleven in southeast Calgary

Calgary police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a man believed to have been involved in an armed robbery at a convenience store earlier this week.

Police said the man entered the 7-Eleven at 3725 30 Ave. S.E. last Sunday. Investigators suggested he picked up several electronic items and poured himself a coffee before approaching the till.

“As the clerk rang in the items, the man produced a handgun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and left the store,” police said in a press release Tuesday.

The suspect is described between 25 and 30 years old, about 5’6” tall, with a slim build, short brown hair and tattoos covering his right arm.

At the time he was wearing a white Nike T-shirt with “BEAST” written on the front and black jeans.

Police are asking anyone with information to call their non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
