Teen injured in assault in Standoff

    A 16-year-old from the Blood Reserve is in critical condition in a Calgary hospital after allegedly being assaulted Sunday.

    At about 4 p.m. that day, Blood Tribe Police responded, along with EMS, to a fight-in-progress call in Standoff.

    BTPS said in a news release that the 16-year-old victim was found near a residence with severe head injuries. He was transported by STARS air ambulance to Foothills Hospital in Calgary where he remains in critical condition in the ICU.
