There was no wiretap of Trump Tower, U.S. Intelligence Committee says

WASHINGTON — There was no wiretap of Trump Tower, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee said Monday, contradicting an assertion from President Donald Trump. But he said that other forms of surveillance of Trump and his associates have not been ruled out.

The comments from Rep. Devin Nunes, a California Republican, came at the outset of a congressional hearing that will explore allegations of Russian hacking in last year’s presidential election and whether there were any connections between Moscow and Trump’s campaign.
