Montreal Police Station 3 serving Pierrefonds-Roxboro and Île-Bizard-Ste-Geneviève
A man arrived home in Pierrefonds late evening to find his door had been blocked from the inside, June 16. Montreal Police Const. Daniel Maheu said police arrived at the house on Monk Street and were waved over to the side of the house by the homeowner who was waiting outside. He had entered by the damaged patio door at the back of the house only long enough to grab the phone and call 911. The patio door’s double windows had been smashed by the intruder and the door left slightly open.
The bedrooms had been tossed and a large, empty box which once held the television set had been jammed against the front door to prevent entry.
Police asked the homeowner to sift through the mess, make a list of what had been stolen and drop it off at the station.
The police officers suggested the man install a light with a motion detector in the backyard.
