Random attack in Lawrence Park leaves woman with stab wounds

A violent attack in the Lawrence Park area of northern Toronto has left a woman in hospital with stab wounds.

Police say the incident occurred in the Weybourne and Dinnick crescents area near Lawrence Avenue and Yonge Streets around noon on Saturday.

The woman suffered minor injuries and managed to make her own way to hospital for treatment.

Police say this appears to be a random attack, which makes it a public safety concern.

The suspect is described as white, thin build, in his 20s between five-foot-seven and five-foot-eight with a thin mustache and scruffy hair. He was wearing a black hoodie.
